NixOS setup notebook

Preparations

  • Boot installation media in UEFI mode

Partitioning

nix-env -iA nixos.git
nix run github:nix-community/disko -- --mode zap_create_mount --flake git+https://git.project-insanity.org/onny/nixos-lappy.git#tuxzentrale  --arg disks '[ "/dev/sda" ]'

$ chmod 600 /etc/nixos/secrets.nix
$ nixos-install
$ reboot

Some things still to setup:

  • Signal profile
  • Librewolf extensions: privacy badger, https everywhere
  • Librewolf download dir to ~/downloads
  • iwd network profiles
  • libvirt machines
  • docker volumes
